A die-hard fan of H-Town legends like Chamillionaire in addition to new-age wordsmiths like Kendrick Lamar, his playlists are as diverse as his background, and it is those very influences (in addition to a tight-knit production and visual team) that have allowed Hanumankind to carve out a lane that is truly all his own.
The rising rapper and former Stephen F. Austin student recently took the 24-hour trek from India back to The Lone Star State, where he caught up with our very own DJ J-Que and Slim Thug at Bun B’s popular H-Town eatery, Trill Burgers to talk beats, rhymes and life.

For Hanuman, it was an opportunity to finally connect with Slim, a Houston rap legend who he admits, along with other early 2000s artists of the era, had a major impact on his artistic stylings. For Que and Slim, it was a chance to bridge the gap between seasoned industry bosses and a hungry artists looking to put his stamp on the game.
The end result was a cool crash course in culture, both local and international, and of course.. a whole lot of pimp talk.
