When 50 Cent is in Houston, he’s home.

And during the holidays, there’s no place like home when it comes to traditions, old and new. And since moving to The Lone Star State, Fif has made it a tradition to give back to the city that has embraced him by working to make the holidays season a little brighter for those in need.

On Monday (Nov. 25th), 50 Cent along with his G-Unity Foundation, Kroger and The Houston Rockets, helped feed thousands families with a turkey drive complete with all the necessary sides to ensure full plates for Thanksgiving.

Personalities from Radio ONE Houston’s 97.9 The Box and Majic 102.1 were on hand to help distribute food items and greet fans eager to snap a pic with 50 and pick up some much-needed dinner dishes.

Since making the move to Houston, 50’s done a lot more than throw parties and connect with local media outlets like 97.9 The Box and Radio ONE. This past February, Fif took part in The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo’s International Wine Competition. The highly-acclaimed event featured 3,071 entries from 18 countries, including Argentina, Bulgaria, France, Israel, Italy, South Africa and Spain.

The 2023 Reserve Grand Champion Best of Show, Bernhardt Winery Antiquity Chardonnay Reserve was purchased by Sire Spirits, 50 Cent Jackson for $165,000. The 2023 Rodeo Uncorked! Champion Wine Auction & Dinner was held at NRG Center Sunday (Feb 17). Enthusiastic supporters gathered for the annual event, where winning wines from the 2023 Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition were auctioned.

In 2022, 50 was named Grand Marshal of the city’s73rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade.

“As we celebrate our blessings this year, let us reflect on Houston as a vibrant and welcoming global city that values diversity and inclusion. This year’s Thanksgiving Day parade will highlight some of the most incredible talent, floats, and marching bands in the history of the parade,” said then-Mayor Sylvester Turner. “We are thrilled to host this wonderful tradition downtown again, and I look forward to seeing smiles on the faces of children and adults enjoying the parade made possible by our wonderful sponsors.”

Through his G-Unity Foundation he’s already been able to support three Houston-area high schools – Kashmere, Wheatley and Worthing – in a program that taught business methods like writing a business plan and bookkeeping and more. Fif plans to expand to more schools and ticket sales from his August 25th Tycoon Comedy & Music Fest will go toward growing the program.
