[WATCH] Electrical Error Cancels Journey's Rodeo Houston Set

HOUSTON — Journey was in the midst of its show at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Friday night, performing their ageless mega hit, Don’t Stop Believin’, when suddenly the band’s sound and visual feed from the rotating stage cut out. The crowd, without missing a beat, carried on through the rest of the song, despite Journey never resuming their set.

According to a Rodeo Houston statement, an electrical issue underneath the stage forced the cancelation of the rest of Journey’s show.

“Due to an unforeseen electrical incident under the stage area, we regretfully announce the cancellation of tonight’s Journey concert, Rodeo Houston said in a statement. “We sincerely apologize to all fans for this disappointment. Our team is working diligently to assess the situation, and we will provide updates regarding rescheduling options and refunds as soon as possible.”

As of Saturday afternoon, Rodeo Houston hasn’t announced any information on rescheduling the show or offering refunds yet. Despite the issue during Journey’s show, country music star Warren Zeiders‘ concert is expected to go on as planned without issue or delay.

“Howdy! We are excited to host RODEOHOUSTON and welcome Warren Zeiders today as scheduled,” Rodeo Houston said in a statement. “The stage will be operating as normal, and we will host all activities in the stadium and on the grounds as originally planned. For those who attended the Journey concert, we’ll follow up with more information soon. Thanks, and see y’all at the Show!”
