Dreamville fans, rest assured—the festival isn’t going anywhere.
During a press conference ahead of this year’s highly anticipated Dreamville Fest, organizers announced that the festival will return under a new iteration, providing years of music and community celebration in Raleigh.
Sascha Stone Guttfreund, producer for Dreamville and Live Nation, shared the exciting news, saying:
“We’re going to be here for years to come. This is a multi-year deal, and we’re thrilled to partner with the city of Raleigh to create something new and exciting while continuing the legacy we’ve built.”
While some fans initially thought this year would mark the festival’s conclusion, Raleigh City Manager Marchell Adams-David clarified that despite changes, the essence of Dreamville Fest will remain.
“Our consumers have told us what they value, and we’re committed to preserving the vibrancy and energy they love,” she stated.
Adams-David added that the event is set to stay hip-hop-centric, a format that has proven immensely successful.
Dorothea Dix Park will continue as the festival’s host location, ensuring a consistent home base.
J. Cole, a Fayetteville native and the festival’s co-founder, will remain heavily involved in shaping its future direction.
“Whether or not he headlines,” Adams-David assured, “J. Cole’s commitment to the community and this festival is unwavering.”
Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, J. Cole’s manager, expressed that maintaining the close-knit atmosphere remains a priority.
“We want it to feel like a family reunion,” he said. “People come from all 50 states and different countries, and it’s special to create that sense of unity right here in North Carolina.”
With a commitment to its roots and an eye on innovation, Dreamville Fest’s new chapter promises to honor its foundation while bringing fresh experiences to its loyal fans.
The future is bright for this beacon of music, culture, and community.
