Beyonce, Jay Z Spend Weekend Rallying for Trayvon [PHOTOS]

Jay Z and Beyonce spent part of their weekend remembering the life of Trayvon Martin, and calling for the end of Stand Your Ground laws in New York City. The Big Apple was just one of 100 cities that participated in rallies protesting the acquittal of 29-year-old George Zimmerman, who stood accused in the 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon.

The demonstrators also sought a federal investigation by the Department of Justice and Attorney General Eric Holder into whether Trayvon’s civil rights were violated by Zimmerman.
