Every Year Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee Holds This Event Ensuring That The Underprivileged Children of Houston Have a Reason to Celebrate the Holidays
Houston, TX – Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee released the following statement regarding the 19th Annual ‘Toys for Kids’:
“I am pleased to announce the 19th annual ‘Toys for Kids’ Drive here in Houston, Texas. Children from low-income families will now get to enjoy the festivities of the Christmas season and receive toys and many other gifts. Many organizations collaborated to entertain and educate the children and I would to thank them all for their dedicated support. This year’s event will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center from 10:00am – 2:00pm on Saturday, December 14, 2013.
“This year over 3000 children from low-income families will get the chance to enjoy the festivities of the Christmas season and receive toys and many other gifts. The event will for sure be a resounding success! I again want to thank everyone for all of their efforts in making the ‘Toys for Kids’ a wonderful event and I look forward to their continued participation next year. “
