There was a lot of music released this year; not as much as I would like…but I think there were a few dope azz albums that everybody should have purchased in 2014. Now, I know how ya’ll get: Before you go through this list, don’t blow up my twitter asking why your favorite rapper’s album wasn’t included. These are AMIR DIAMOND’S favorite albums…Not Yours! Lol
The following pages include projects that I spent my hard-earned money on that I can listen ALL THE WAY THROUGH! I don’t skip ANY tracks when I jam these. They range from Rap, to Gospel to R&B.
Hope you enjoy.
Love, Diamond.
August Alsina – “Testimony”
Imma be honest: I didn’t invest my time into this CD until Alsina’s 106 and park ‘go against the grain’ spectacle! Even though he probably regrets that moment…it made me go buy his music to see if he had a right to be so cocky. The answer is “yes, he did” Buahaha – Testimony is the s***!!!

K. Michelle – “ABWBAH (Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart)?”
K. Michelle’s entire brand has been shifting this year; she’s doing sexy choreography in her videos, acting in them and trying her hardest to get away from that stereotype that most have about her when it comes to her attitude. Lol

Ken Randle – “Sex In A Slab”
If this cover takes your breath away, the songs on the project will too! Ken has the ability to stand next to some of the greatest R&B men and women that came before we were even born. He’s been compared to the artist formerly known as Prince…and I’m sure that legend would give Ken his blessing.
Kid Ink – “My Own Lane”
When I saw Paul Wall post this cover art on his personal instagram page, I knew it had to be hot s***. When The People’s Champ tells you to go buy Kid Ink’s album…you go buy that thang and check it out. And I am SO happy I Did!!!

Nicki Minaj – “The Pinkprint”
I had low expectations with this one because I thought Nicki was going to be rapping like a cartoon character like she used to do; boy, was I in for a big surprise. Minaj got a lot more personal than a lot of people expected (including myself). There are millions of people who can relate to her now after venting about her relationship issues in her music.

Sam Smith – “In The Lonely Hour”
When a new artist ties with Beyoncé in Grammy nominations…you know they have to be doing something right!
Trey Songz – “Trigga”
I never thought Trey could make a CD as great as Ready…and although “Trigga” is not better than it, it definitely comes close!

The Walls Group – “Fast Forward”
This group of brothers and sisters have voices of God and gold! They’re from our city but have been getting some major recognition from people all over the world. Kirk Franklin signed them to his label…so that should tell ya somethin’! Lol
