pisode 303 opens up very interestingly with two “young gentlemen” Wookie and Dirt in a pharmacy. Things escalate quickly when Wookie decides he needs some quick cash and proceeds to hold up the joint. Dirt is totally against Wookie’s decision but Wookie isn’t try to hear it. He tells Dirt to watch the door and to make sure no one is coming. Unfortunately for them a cop conveniently rolls up, how lucky is this pharmacy clerk?
Unfortunately he’s not so lucky at all as we have just met our newest power player Jukebox. She asks the store clerk if he notified the police and he tells her he tripped the silent alarm. Jukebox tells the clerk she wished he hadn’t done that and tells Wookie to shoot him.
Well damn, looks like Jukebox is just a cop to the pay the bills legally, Wookie complies with Jukebox’s command and takes out the clerk. She scolds the two young men telling them how many times she told them not to do a job without a plan? Wookie tries to apologize and explain himself but in right in the middle of his explanation Jukebox shoots and kills him😮 .
Holy shit, Jukebox has no chill! She looks at Dirt and tells him to get the hell out of the store. In the same breath she scolds Wookie’s corpse for making her shoot him. She calls it in like nothing out of the ordinary happened looks like things will be getting interesting quickly on this episode. From there we head to Jukebox’s home where we meet her ride or die girlfriend Candie.
Jukebox breaks down her day explaining why she had to take out Wookie. She then asks about their visitor they have upstairs. Candie tells Jukebox that he hasn’t made a peep since they brought him in from the hospital. Hmm who could they talking about?
Jukebox heads upstairs to check on their guest, and low and behold it’s Kanan laid out in bed.
He’s in really bad shape, suffering from serious burns and a busted side from his last encounter with Ghost but he’s very much alive.
Add that to the growing list of shit Ghost has to worry about in his life. Speaking of Ghost looks like life as being just James is going well. He and Angela are out competitively exercising together and look to be in high spirits after the successful visit and introduction to Ghost’s kids.
The excited couple speak on eventually becoming a family and how they want that for each other. Angela then asks if things are alright at club cause Ghost left her abruptly with the kids to secretly go see Tommy. Ghost let’s her know everything is alright and Angela appreciated the quality time she spent with the kids. After the conversation Ghost challenges Angela to another race to her apartment giving her a head start. She takes off , Ghost immediately texts Tommy letting him know he’s still looking for him. Unknowingly to the both of them suspended officer Greg is watching them.
We zap to Tommy who we see receives the text from Ghost but of course he totally ignores it. He links up with Holly and his new business partner Tasha.
Tasha explains to them exactly how they will clean the money now that Ghost has closed all the laundromats and other businesses. She tells the new kingpin and Holly that they will invest the dirty drug money in hair weaves. Tasha explains to the two that she has a hair connect that will give them a great price if they pay in cash. Of course Holly is a bit a slow and doesn’t still understand.
Tommy and Tasha explain to her that since they deal in nothing but cash it’s untraceable and it will be easy to clean by buying the hair in bulk at a wholesale price. They will then sell it to other salons at double the price, basically cornering the hair the market cause their prices will be so low salons will have no choice but to come to them. That also means they are going to need more salons to keep up with all of the cash as well and this is where Tasha’s BFF LaKeisha comes into the fold.
Tasha immediately meets up LaKeisha presenting her with the idea of not just doing hair but selling it as well. Tasha makes a very convincing pitch to her home girl telling her eventually they can start a franchise with the idea making her the McDonald’s of hair weaves. Keisha is here for all of it!
With the prospect of tremendous amounts of cash rolling in Keisha is looking forward to finally buying something for her friend Tasha.
Ghost is still searching for Tommy and stops by his apartment but he’s not there. He leaves Tommy another message letting him know he stopped by to see him. Unfortunately for Ghost he has no clue someone is hot on his trail.
That’s right Greg is still following him around and snaps a photo of Ghost leaving Tommy’s apartment. Uh oh definitely not a good look at all.
Now you know it wouldn’t be a pure episode of Power if there wasn’t a sex scene right? We are thrown into a smash session between Julio and the Korean call girl from the last episode he wanted a piece of. After two intense minutes of “calorie burning” Soo cuts off the fresh off he boat Korean act and tells Julio shes from Fort Lee, Texas. She then indulges in some booger sugar (cocaine) .She asks Julio if he wants some and he respectfully declines but points out that she did some earlier. She tells him not to worry and that she’s a big girl but also points out that the coke is weak as hell. Julio asks where she got it from and she tells him she got it from Dylan, Jae Shin’s son.
Julio immediately recognizes that they have a problem on their hands and hits up Tommy immediately to let him know the bad news.
We head back to D.C. and we see Kanan is really bad shape. Laid out looking like Two-Face from The Dark Knight, Jukebox wakes up to let him know she brought him a cane to help him out. Kanan isn’t too receptive of that idea of course. He’s clearly in a lot of pain due to his injuries and asks Jukebox to hand him his pills.
Jukebox tells him after he tells her the truth and what exactly happened to him. Kanan tells her that he got into a beef over some territory but Jukebox isn’t buying that story. She tells him she won’t give him the pills until he comes clean with her and she walks out the room with his pills leaving Kanan to deal with the pain. Jukebox is definitely tough cause we don’t see many with the gall to stand up to Kanan without worrying about it.

Remember the two guys Andy and Alby who scooped DJ AM from Ghost last week? We catch up with them and they are in the middle of meeting over dinner with Karen Bassett and are on the verge of locking in a huge deal with her. They ask for the check and find out it’s been paid for already by Ghost himself.
Ghost is one slick guy! He returns the favor for their shady move they pulled on him, he introduces himself to Ms.Bassett pretty much planting a seed in her mind. After his smooth move Ghost leaves the table but he knows he accomplished his mission.
Angela is still in family mode and is out looking at apartments cause they need more room since the kids will be around more.Looks like the normal life with James that Angela always wanted is becoming a reality.
Tasha takes Holly to meet her new business partner LaKeisha. Immediately you can tell Holly has never been inside a black beauty salon before cause she’s never smelled burnt hair before. You can instantly tell LaKeisha isn’t here for Holly at all especially knowing what she did to Tasha and gives hers a very interesting look.
LaKeisha is clearly not a fan of Holly.
Holly senses the shade and instantly excuses herself from the conversation and “goes to the bathroom”. LaKeisha asks Tasha if that’s the same bitch that stole her earrings? Tasha tells her it’s fine, LaKeisha tells her if she steals anything from out the shop she would beat Holly’s flat ass.
Keisha is not too excited to be working with Holly and walks off, Holly comes back into the situation. Tasha tells Holly to keep her mouth shut and don’t say a word to Keisha. The less she knows the better so she won’t get in any trouble if the shit hits the fan.
Ghost is still worried about Lobos and decides he needs some more protection besides Dre.
He speaks with his new head of security Dean and requests a personal detail to keep him safe. His meeting with Dean is cut short by a surprise appearance from Karen Bassett.
It would appear his power move he pulled off interrupting her meeting with the Andy and Alby impressed her a lot. She expresses interest in James and possibly wants him to open up a club inside a new hotel she is opening up. She tells James she will be keeping a close eye on him and wants to get to know him personally as well business wise before she makes the move. Hmmmm we are gonna have to keep a close eye on Karen.
Kanan is still in bad shape but good thing he’s got Nurse Candie to help him out. Candie reveals to Kanan that she used to work at the hospital and that’s how he she met Jukebox.
Candie tends to Kanan’s burns telling him that he has to stay active to keep his skin from tightening up on him. She also tries to get something else active on him but Kanan doesn’t seem to be in the mood for that well not yet. It also sheds light on Jukebox and Candies interesting relationship. The only thing Kanan want’s right now is his pills but Candie is under strict orders not to give them to him.
Kanan instead turns his focus on what Candie is drinking her Texas Tea (lean). She gives him a sip of it and it looks like Kanan might have found something to rely on instead of his pills. Candie also learns a bit of information from Kanan in regards to what happened to him. He mentions something about Ghost but Candie doesn’t fully understand exactly what Kanan is talking about.
Meanwhile Tasha and Holly have an encounter with the law and get pulled over. It’s a move by Holly though that ultimately breaks the ice between the two drawing them in closer to each other.
Holly uses her white privilege to get her and Tasha out of potential trouble. She tells the cop that Tasha is her nanny and that they were rushing to get home to her child. Tasha helps sell the story by doing her best Ms.Cleo (RIP) impression and it worked like a damn charm.
Tommy has a lot of issues to deal with and worrying about weak product on the streets shouldn’t be one of them. He meets up with Jae Shin to discuss who’s stepping on his product and pushing it out in his camp.
Jae Shin initially pushes back saying that if Tommy held up his part of the bargain this wouldn’t be an issue. Tommy carefully breaks down why Jae Shin should be worried about selling bad product and how it could all come back to both him and Tommy in the long run. Jae Shin agrees to get to the bottom of it and Tommy agrees to honor his end of the deal and get Jae Shin his product. Before Tommy and Julio can leave Jae Shin is called up to hit the stage to perform some karaoke.
Julio is eager to leave but Tommy tells him he must see this performance. It’s not often you get to witness a drug kingpin performing 80’s classics terribly.
Looks like Holly and Tasha are getting closer after she witnessed what’s it like to drive while black in NYC.
The two joke about their experience with the police over glasses of wine. Holly salutes Tasha over her impressive impersonations and she even does a pretty good impersonation of Tommy. Tommy doesn’t think so of course but he’s happy to see his new team getting along so well.
Tasha decides it’s time for her to go cause she has to get back to the kids. She reveals to Holly and Tommy that Ghost left her and the kids to go live with Angela. Holly gives her unwanted two cents on the matter and says that Ghost is a p.o.s. for doing so but who cares what she thinks anyway. Holly also sees this as an opportunity for Tommy to go handle his business and cancel Christmas on Ghost now that they know where he is staying.
Tommy still looks like he can’t bring himself to killing his brother/partner so easily still. Holly hasn’t picked up on that sentiment yet though cause she’s an air-head but that’s another story.
Jukebox returns home from a long day of “serving and protecting” and asks Candie what’s the status on Kanan.
Apparently Jukebox and Candie have some sort of open relationship where she allows to Candie to indulge with men sometimes as well. In this case I believe she was hoping Candie could pull some information out of Kanan with the power of her P.U.S.S.Y. But Kanan of course didn’t bite… YET she did get some information out him regarding who he’s going to get his revenge on. Candie brings up the fact Kanan mentioned something about Ghosts and Jukebox instantly picked up Kanan referring to Ghost. Looks like Jukebox got all the info she needs now.
Candie also reveals that she gave Kanan some Texas Tea and Jukebox wasn’t too happy about that all. She was trying to ween him off the drugs but Candie went and got him hooked on something else. She warns Candie to never disobey her again but Candie looked like she enjoyed the threat from her boo more than anything.
Meanwhile Ghost and Angela are on cloud nine at the moment and can’t seem to be knocked down from their high.
Ghost tells Angela about his potential new life changing deal that could most certainly speed up the process to them moving into a bigger place. The mood quickly changes when Angela spots a familiar face watching them from across the street.
Angela tells Ghost she has to run back to the apartment to get something and he leaves. Angela goes and confronts Greg’s spying ass and tells him to stop. The two have a bit of a struggle and Angela looks to reach for her gun that is no longer in bag. Greg can’t believe she was actually going to pull a gun on him but he gets over that quickly. Greg unfortunately has something to help those doubts that are stuck in the back of her mind surface again. He reveals he’s not following Angela he’s tailing Ghost and he spotted him leaving Tommy’s apartment. He shows her the cell phone photo he took and now Angela is back to suspicion city when it comes to her man.

Looks like Angela’s missing gun found a temporary new home Riq’s book-bag.
Riq does the unthinkable and brings Angela’s gun to school. He tells his friend he had no choice after his mom was cleaning his room and almost found it. The gym teacher rolls up on the two teens during their conversation and asks to look in Riq’s bag.
Angela runs back home and frantically looks for her missing piece. She checks her usual spots but no gun.
Her frantic search is interrupted by a phone call, we wonder who it can be?
It’s Riq’s school on the line informing Angela they have her gun. Oh no this is not good at all. We know she’s thinking about how Tasha is going to handle this situation.
Speaking of Tasha her and Ghost meet up Riq’s school immediately.
The two debate where Riq could have possible gotten the gun from with Ghost immediately pointing out the fact it wasn’t him cause she kicked him out. They get called into the office and it’s time to talk about the situation.
Ghost immediately apologizes and says that there are no guns in his home. The principal immediately points out that the gun is registered to Angela. Ghost was like:
Tasha was like:
LMAO that’s all she needed to hear! The principal suggested that Riq be expelled from school but Tasha easily stopped that from happening. She pointed out the white privilege the goes on in the school and called them out on it. She successfully convinces the principal not to take that course of action with her son but administer some harsh punishments instead.
Ghost and Tasha leave the office and he immediately thanks Tasha for handling the situation. Tasha points out that Ghost didn’t do damn thing and that her kids will never set foot in Angela’s house ever again.
Greg is using every avenue to get his man even if risks getting fired.
He enlists the help of former colleague to help him get some information on Ghost.
Meanwhile the St Patrick’s are discussing what they are going to do with their hard-headed son Riq.
Riq reveals the reason he took the gun cause he feared for his life after learning about what happened to Shaun. Tasha isn’t buying the excuse at all and says no one is coming to shoot you at private school. Shaun then says you hear stories of white boys shooting schools up all of the time.
Ghost wasn’t here for Riq trying to upstage his mom and checks Riq. The young man is clearly over the situation between his parents and it shows. Ghost tells his young son that part of being a man he has to accept the consequences of his actions. We are sure Tasha is looking at Ghost in her head like:
Ghost informs Riq as part of his punishment at school he has to go to therapy and he is grounded and will not be allowed to do anything fun basically. He tells him to hand over his cell phone but Riq says no. What’s with these smart ass kids on these shows? Tasha is clearly the disciplinarian in the house and she takes the phone from Riq. Riq storms off angry, Tasha then blames Riq’s current behavior on the fact that Ghost is not home. Ghost tells Tasha it’s up to the both of them to make them understand the repercussions of their decisions. Tasha of course adds in that they also have to understand the repercussions of his decisions as well. Ghost was like:
Kanan is slowly but surely getting back on his feet.
He’s still no where near a 100% and is looking for his pills that Jukebox hid from him. He raids the medicine cabinet but doesn’t find what he’s looking for. He then surveys the damage that has been done to his body and treats his burns. Kanan is fed up but it looks like the road to recovery has officially begun.

The fallout over Riq taking Angela’s gun to school is quickly happening in the James and Angela household.
Ghost is furious and asks her why he she had unsecured firearm around his kids and doesn’t want to hear any apologies about it from Angela. It also didn’t help that Tasha was in his face when they learned it was Angela’s gun in the first place. Angela then rightfully questions why Riq was in her closet begin with and Ghost replies he’s boy they are curious that’s what they do.
Angela then snaps back that snooping around in her in stuff must be in the St.Patrick genes.
Then Angela tries to turn the tables on Ghost and asks him if has seen Tommy. Ghost tells Angela the truth and tells her he stopped by Tommy’s apartment but he wasn’t home and that he doesn’t return his calls. The couple decides to back off each other and talk it out and let cooler heads prevail.
Ghost reveals to Angela that he had to choose between Tommy and her and he chose her. They decide maybe they were moving too fast, James then suggests he should spend more time with the kids alone. He doesn’t really have any choice since Tasha doesn’t want the kids over there anymore to begin with.
We catch back up with Jukebox and it looks like she’s trying to calm down one of her soldiers before a big job.
Dirt is still shook after what took place in the store leading to Wookie getting shot and killed by Jukebox. She tells the young man he needs to relax. Dirt doesn’t want in on the job anymore, Jukebox tells him he shouldn’t drop out and that this job could help him pay for school without having to rely on Sallie Mae. Dirt is still reluctant,Kane who is now back on his feet hears the exchange between them. He suggests Jukebox forgets about Dirt, Dirt then questions who the hell is Kanan and calls him a burnt pork rind.
Boy if only Dirt knew? He’s lucky Kanan is still recovering from his wounds cause we know what would have happened.
Kanan attempts to knock some sense into Dirt with his cane but Jukebox prevents that from happening. She walks dirt out the house to avoid anymore trouble between Dirt and Kanan.
Looks like Holly just found out some not so welcoming news.
Holly is PREGNANT and she doesn’t look to happy about it. Did she really think she could have so much sex without protection with Tommy and not get pregnant?
She tosses the pregnancy test and any evidence of it in the trash. Tommy is currently in the living room playing some PS4. Holly’s still heated at the fact she has Tommy’s bun in the oven isn’t too happy to see Tommy chilling.
She interrupts Tommy’s gaming session and asks what’s he doing about Ghost? Holly is nervous as every now but Tommy isn’t trying to answer her. Their argument is interrupted by a text message from Tariq telling Tommy to meet him at basketball city. Tommy being the good uncle that he is does not hesitate and goes to find his nephew and find out what is wrong.
Jae Shin finds out that his son Dylan has been stealing from and handles it.
Using an old crude Japanese method, he forces Dylan to chop off his own finger as a form of punishment for stealing from him. Damn that’s cruel but we are willing to bet Dylan will never steal or mess with the product ever again.
Kanan is slowly getting back on his feet, and wants in on whatever Jukebox is doing but that’s not going to happen till Kanan comes clean with her.
Jukebox did some prying on her end and used her police powers to dig up a file on a Kanan. After beating around the bush hoping Kanan will fess up, Jukebox utters the name Ghost and that seems to get the ball rolling. She asks Kanan if Ghost was the one that did that him but Kanan’s silence on the matter was deafening. Starting to put two and two together also asks why did Kanan allow Ghost to kill his son Shaun. It’s that moment there Kanan reveals that he was the one who killed Shaun because he chose Ghost over him.
Kanan also reveals to Jukebox that Ghost was the reason that he was locked up in the first place. Jukebox at first doesn’t condone killing his own son but tells him she understands because Shaun was a pawn and you sacrifice pawns for the greater good.
Jukebox and Kanan are now on square footing, Kanan then asks Jukebox for some of her Texas Tea his new vice.
He asks her about the job she has coming up, she tells him she’s got something planned but he’s no good to her with one arm and they gotta be back to full strength. Kanan lets her know he’s down for whatever!
We catch up with Tommy, he’s looking for Riq at basketball city he quickly finds out it was Ghost who sent the text not Riq. Real smooth Ghost , reaaaaallll smooth.
Ghost knew Tommy would do anything for his nephew Riq and used it to lure him out to talk to him. Ghost tells Tommy that Lobos wants him dead and that grabs Tommy attention. Ghost tries to convince Tommy that Lobos is using him and won’t hesitate to kill him.
Ghost pleads with Tommy and they should team up again to take down Lobos. Tommy tells him that Lobos needs him and Ghost tells him only for now. He loses Tommy when he asks Tommy what’s going to happen when he makes a mistake? Tommy is not here for Ghost not giving him the benefit of the doubt and loses it say that he is still the same Ghost. Ghost pleads with Tommy to let him save them both, then asks Tommy if Lobos is coming after him? Tommy stands there silent and doesn’t answer the question (we know the answer) only saying goodbye to Ghost leaving him there standing and wondering.
Things are picking up so quickly, we can’t wait to see what’s in store in the next episode. Be sure to follow us on Twitter @TheSFPL for our weekly live commentary during the show.
