ast week’s episode of Power had everyone and including myself on one! So the huge question following the epic death of Holly is how is Courtney and her writers going to follow that epic episode? Well this time we get a near death, a death and an epic break-up! Lets hop into Episode 306 of Power shall we?
We catch up with Tommy in what seems to be the day after his traumatic experience killing his pregnant girlfriend Holly. He is found sleeping in his car by his bro Ghost.
It appears Tommy is having problems staying in his apartment understandably, he did strangle his girlfriend to death in there so I understand. I mean we don’t care that she’s gone though but he still does and hasn’t come to terms with it.
Ghost and Tommy meet to discuss their plan to take out Lobos once and for all but Tommy is still out of it mentally and Ghost knows it.
Tommy has trouble finding his keys to give to Ghost to get into the apartment, once he finds them in his pocket he drops them while handing them over to Ghost. Ghost finally gets the door open to the apartment and poor Tommy begins to just stare inside. Ghost encourages Tommy to get it together because they got work to do.
Tommy and Ghost are not the only ones working on a plan involving Lobos. The feds in are the process of working on a plan to transfer Lobos to another facility in D.C. .
Special Agent in Charge Donovan feels they should be using nothing less than armored tank to transport Lobos out of fear of the Jimenez trying to take him out. Of course that won’t play into Mike’s plan to make sure his secret boss is sprung. Mike uses the fact that people still believe that Lobos is dead to his advantage and they settle on doing a “low profile” transfer utilizing a civilian van modified for the transportation prisoner transport.
Donovan then appoints Greg as the point-man on the transfer as he needs someone he feels he can trust to see this operation through. The meeting adjourns and Angela walks in, she expresses relief to Mike that she can’t believe this case will be finally be over with the transfer of Lobos to D.C.. Little does she know that both her and Mike have secret investments in this case to go away A.S.A.P if they want to live “normal” lives.
Back at Tommy’s crib our favorite duo is getting their plan together and their alibis straight.
Tommy tells Ghost about the details about Hugo and his team, his mind begins to wander off again as he stares into the living room where he took Holly’s life. Ghost immediately notices and closes the door so he can get Tommy back on track. Ghost tells Tommy to link up with Hugo and his men as planned and he will ambush them after they spring Lobos from federal custody. The conversation then switches to alibis, Tommy already has his albi straight using his mom Kate, she will cover for him if he gives her enough coke.
Tommy then brings up the fact he heard Ghost lives with Angela now, Ghost immediately responds he will use his new “business acquaintance” Karen as his alibi. Tommy is confused and thinks Ghost already has “side-bitch on his side-bitch”.
Ghost corrects him and tells him that Karen is an investor and that he will stay at her property up on the Hudson. He can just tell Angela he was away on a business trip and that will be his alibi. Tommy isn’t so sure that Angela will buy into that being that he still doesn’t trust her but Ghost is sure his boo will eat it all up.
The conversation is interrupted by a loud knock on the door, Tommy really should invest in a doorbell or something cause it sounds like the police always knocking at his door.
Well fortunately for Tommy it’s Tasha, she comes walking in the house asking where is Holly and is surprised to see Ghost in the building .
Shocked to find that the duo “worked some shit out” over night Tasha asks immediately what the hell is going on?
Tommy starts to tell Tasha that something big is about to happen but Ghost quickly interjects stating they don’t need to involve her. Tommy insists saying they need Tasha, Tasha looking puzzled wants to know exactly what they need her for?
Ghost quickly heads tot he club, we jump in a conversation between him and his unlikely “knight in shining armor” and head of security Dean.
Dean immediately asks how is Riq is doing? Ghost tells him that he is fine, Dean of course is shocked being that three men died right in front of them at the coy reaction. Riq didn’t see any if it as his amazing noise-canceling headphones made sure he was focused on his music and not the thwarted attempt on his father’s life. Ghost is appreciative of Dean’s efforts but expresses the fact he specifically told Dean not to follow him anymore. The man saved your life and that’s the thanks he gets?
Dean points out that he acted on a hunch and that his hunch helped save Ghost and his son. He tells Ghost if it happens again he will be forced to report it to the authorities. Ghost reassured Dean that it won’t happen again and that he won’t be sharing any plans on how he will make sure it won’t with Dean anytime soon.
The tense meeting between is interrupted by the arrival of Karen.
Ghost called the meeting to get his alibi in order with Karen. He asks if her if they could move their meeting to her hotel on the Hudson. He tells her he wants to spend the night, get the “Basset experience” from the inside out and understand her system. Karen loves the idea as it shows he’s taking her seriously and looks like Ghost’s alibi is set.
We zap to the St.Patrick residence and it’s just like old times with the trio back intact. They are discussing more details about the upcoming job and Tommy kicks things off by stating there should be no phones. Ghost agrees to Tommy’s suggestion and he is shocked being that Ghost can’t be disconnected from the club for that long.
Things get pretty interesting when Tasha asks Ghost why Kate is Tommy’s alibi and not Holly? Ghost tells her it’s just a bad idea. Holly asks if they broke up? Ghost remains silent, then Tasha brings up the baby by guessing Tommy must have told her. Ghost’s face was like:
Ghost gets over the shock of learning Holly was pregnant and tells Tasha that Tommy didn’t tell him much about it. Tasha expresses guilt for telling her to tell Tommy about the baby ohhhhh Tasha if you only knew.
Ghost quickly changes the subject and asks Tasha if Tommy could crash at their house for the night? He fears Tommy will go somewhere and get hammered jeopardizing their plan.
Before Ghost can get in the elevator to leave Tasha asks Ghost if he’s going to home to Angela? Ghost tells her it’s all part of the plan, he bids the both of them ado, before the doors close Tasha gets in one last sentence. She yells at Ghost it’s the “usual shit” and that “he’s always leaving her with the mess”.
With everything coming together there is one more part of the plan Ghost has to get in order and that is selling Angela on his alibi. Ghost heads to Angela’s place to pack and get ready for his trip to Kate’s hotel. Angela walks in the middle of Ghost packing and inquires as to where he is going?
Ghost tells Angela about his visit to Karen’s property on the Hudson and his plan to stay. Angela was initially suspicious about the whole thing but he quickly quells that by telling her she should come with him.
Ghost sells Angela on the dream of jet setting across the world once he lands this huge deal with Karen. Oh Angela is putty in Ghost’s hands at this point and you know exactly where this conversation is going.
If you guessed an intense sex scene, congratulations you win the prize of nothing !

It’s time to set the plan in motion! To keep the illusion that James St.Patrick is a family man both he and Tasha visit Karen’s hotel as husband and wife.
Tasha is instantly impressed with hotel and who wouldn’t be it looks like a castle. Tasha will be playing an integral role in Tommy and Ghost’s plans to take out Lobos.
Speaking of Tommy he meets up with Hugo and the two gentleman that will help him spring the frisky the drug lord from federal custody.
Tommy isn’t really impressed with the guys picked to assist him and he’s not too fond of them speaking Spanish instead of English. They go over the plan and Hugo shows them exactly where they will be intercepting the van carrying Lobos.
Speaking of Lobos he is being prepped to be transported to D.C.!
Knowing he’s about to be sprung Lobos is very excited about his trip. Unfortunately for him though he has no idea he won’t be reaching his desired destination. He is loaded up in the van and prepped for transport by Greg. With Lobos loaded up they are ready to hit the road.
Back at the office Angela, Mike and Saxe are monitoring the situation very closely.
Mike of course is sending updates via text message to Hugo and his crew letting them know Lobos is on the move so they can get in place.
Back at the hotel Tasha has settled in and is living it up as she carries out her part of the plan.
Her job is to cover for Ghost while he is out on his mission to kill Lobos and honestly she has the best job out of everyone.
Her peaceful moment is interrupted by a knock on the door. She gets into character throwing on robe on to see it’s none other than Karen.
Karen being the consummate host that she is stops by to make sure they are situated and if they need anything. Tasha lets her know that everything is perfect. She points out that Ghost is in the shower and asks Karen if she wants her to go fetch him? Karen tells her it’s alright and that she will talk to him in the morning. She leaves Tasha some room service, compliments of the house of course and Tasha gladly accepts it.
Tasha is holding down her end of the plan very well! She goes in the bathroom and opens up the shower door to reveal that Ghost isn’t even in there of course. She turns off the shower with a lovely smile on her face.
We check back in with Greg and Lobos and he’s being his usual freaky self.
Lobos is basically counting down the minutes till he is sprung from the van but until then he has some fun with Greg. He puts his leg over Greg’s leg and asks him to massage his calves, Greg isn’t here for Lobos shenanigans at all of course.
Taunting Greg he asks Greg how lucky is he to have the honor of him escorting him, Greg lets Lobos know that he requested the job. Greg then points out that he doesn’t get why it was so easy for Lobos to decide to turn rat and flip on everyone? Greg unfortunately doesn’t know that this was all a part of Lobos and Mike’s plan to help him escape. Lobos tells Greg that he pities him and Greg replies that he pities him because he will be going away for a long time along with Ruiz and Ghost. Lobos replies by telling Greg he doesn’t know either of them.
Tommy and Hugo are getting ready for the approaching van. Tommy lays out the road spikes to disable the van from moving by blowing out all of the tires.
We zap back in the van and Lobos tells Greg he’s bored, Greg replies that he is also bored and at the moment the van rolls over the spikes. So long boredom cause thing’s are going to get exciting for all folks involved quickly.
The van loses control after all the tires blow out forcing Lobos to ironically end up in Greg’s lap face first. The van is quickly surrounded by Tommy and Hugo’s henchmen. An all out gun battle ensues between the agents and Tommy and his help. They easily dispatch the guards with minimal casualties leaving Greg to fend for himself.
The numbers prove to be too great for Greg to handle as he is eventually shot twice in the chest! Is this the end of Greg?
Tommy cuts off Lobos gps tracker while Greg just lies on the ground with a mouth full of blood watching Lobos get away. Lobos is almost a free man again, Tommy decides to drive the get away vehicle underneath a bridge to avoid the helicopters from spotting them. Li
What Lobos doesn’t realize is that this is the part where things go terribly wrong for him. Hugo’s henchman doesn’t like the deviation from the original plan and begins to complain about it. As soon as he does a bullet flies through his skull that bullet coming from Ghost’s gun of course.
Lobos doesn’t even look the least bit startled after seeing his boy get shot. Tommy turns and points his gun at Lobos asking Lobos if he thought he didn’t know he was going to kill him anyway? Lobos responds to Tommy in Spanish telling him more or less.
The backdoor of the truck opens and it’s Ghost and he says hola to Lobos.
Back at the Federal Building things are hectic with all that’s going on with the Lobos situation. Angela’s mind is beginning to wander now and her intuition is kicking in.
She decides to text Ghost in the wake of all that is going on to see exactly where he is and if he as far away from this situation as possible. Of course we all know otherwise, she texts Ghost and asks him if he arrived at his destination safely?
We know Ghost doesn’t have his phone so how is this gonna work? How will this help his alibi? Well that’s where Tasha comes in again.
Not only is Tasha covering for Ghost at the hotel she is also covering for him when it comes to keeping Angela from becoming suspicious. Tasha pretends to be Ghost replying to Angela’s text to Ghost. Tasha even jokes and asks if Angela has a job? Because she is texting James so damn much.
With Angela handled Tasha then calls downstairs requesting a shoe shine for her “husband”. She goes in his bag to get his shoes and makes a startling discovery.
Tasha finds the separation papers Ghost had Proctor draw up for him and she is not too happy about it. Looks like Ghost will have something to worry about when he gets back.
Ghost and Tommy have their hands full with their new prisoner Lobos.
Tommy immediately jumps all over Lobos to get a little revenge for what his henchman Hugo did to Bell. Ghost isn’t here for it though and tells Tommy to chill. Lobos of course always the slick talker tries to get into the heads of his kidnappers but it doesn’t work. They tell him to start walking as they are leading to him to his grave.
Back at the Federal Building everyone is still on edge now that Lobos is free and the status of Greg and the other agents is unknown.
Angela is in her office thinking about the situation, Saxe knocks on the door to check on her. She tells Saxe that she is truly worried about Greg and hope that he’s okay in spite of their history.
Their conversation is halted by some commotion outside of her office.
Ladies and gentleman no need to panic Greg is still alive folks , he will live to annoy us another day on another episode.
Angela is relieved to see Greg still alive and kicking, us though… NOT SO MUCH, GREG NEEDS TO GO.
Operation kill Lobos is till in effect, but things get a bit testy.
During the long walk to Lobos’ grave he manages to get in the head of Ghost just a bit. He tells Ghost that in light of his death his goons will deal with Angela clearly touching a soft spot in Ghost.
Ghost immediately decides to abort mission but Tommy isn’t with that idea at all. Tommy tells Ghost that they have come too far and Lobos must die and points out the Ghost should have killed Angela a long time ago. Ghost backs off and then Lobos tries to get in his head.
Lobos has no idea that Holly is dead so he tells Tommy that Hugo is with her in a last-ditch effort to prolong his life. Of course that doesn’t work either and we all know why.
Now back to his senses Ghost walks up to Lobos and tells him to start walking again. Operation kill Lobos is back on track!
We head back to the federal building and Greg isn’t too happy at the moment.
Greg is 100% convinced that there is a mole in their ranks. He points out the precision of the grab and that they knew every single detail. We know Greg is right but somehow someway Mike manages to make him sound crazy talking about mole during this time as it wouldn’t be in the agency’s best interest to let that out.
Everyone leaves the room and Angela enters she wants to express her sympathy to Greg.
Greg listens to Angela but you can just tell by the look on his face he isn’t here for anything Angela has to say about the incident.
Mike on the other hand receives a phone call he really didn’t want.
Hugo dials up Mike immediately pointing out the Lobos has even made it to the rendezvous point and he is beginning to worry. This is definitely not the news Mike wanted to hear from Hugo and it looks like he’s not in the clear with Hugo telling him that.
We check back in on Tommy, Ghost and Lobos and they finally reach their final destination,
All their walking and talking leads them to a grave they dug for the drug lord and it’s really not to his liking. Welp that’s unfortunate cause Ghost and Tommy don’t care and are about to finally cancel Christmas on Lobos. Tommy is about to end it all till the sound of phone vibrating can be heard.
It’s Mike on the other end calling the phone to find out where Lobos is. Tommy and Ghost begin to panic, they know the phone can be traced immediately to their location. They immediately find the phone on Lobos hidden inside his jacket and destroy it.
Tommy begins to worry the feds have their position and now he wants to abort the mission and kill Lobos somewhere else.
That triggers an argument between Ghost and Tommy as they try to figure exactly how they are going to deal with Lobos now. This is turning out to be the worst kidnapping/execution in television history.
Lobos sees this as an opportunity of course and decides to book it!
Tommy and Ghost see Lobos fleeing and chase after Lobos into the woods. This is turning out to be more than they bargained for.
Mike is having is own problems now that Lobos is missing. He knows Hugo is going to do some terrible things to both him and his daughter if he can’t track down Lobos.
Mike makes a call and tells them trace the last cell tower the phone he gave Lobos was close to in hopes this will help him locate him before it’s too late.
Back in the woods Tommy and Ghost are still on the hunt for Lobos, they know he couldn’t have gotten too far being that he has no clue as to where he is. Tommy and Ghost split up in hopes they track down Lobos before he gets away.
During the search Lobos manages to sneak up on Ghost and hit him from behind. A struggle ensues between Ghost and Lobos but this was only going to go on for so long with Lobos being handcuffed and all. Ghost finally gets the upper hand on Lobos and puts his gun to his chest.
Tommy finally finds Ghost and Lobos and finds Ghost on top of Lobos ready to put some bullets into him. Tommy tells Ghost not to do it because if they leave a body it’s going to be a “shit storm”. Ghost feels otherwise and tells Tommy that Lobos needs to go now, he puts two into his chest.
SO LONG LOBOS!
Tommy asks Ghost what does he want to do with Lobos body? Ghost tells Tommy they will leave him there for the vultures to have at him.
I don’t know but sometimes Ghost makes some seriously dumb decisions, why would you leave the body out in the open? Anyway mission accomplished I guess.
Finally free of the clutches of Lobos the two now discuss plans for the future.
Ghost expresses to Tommy that they are now finally “free” and they can do whatever they want now. Tommy doesn’t seem all that enthusiastic about his future as much as Ghost is. Tommy asks Ghost what is he going to do about his nosy security guard Dean? Ghost tells him he’s going to get rid of him or more than likely if he has to kill him.
Ghost tells Tommy now that Lobos is gone he can start over. Tommy questions that by telling Ghost “Nigga I ain’t got no connect”. Wait did Tommy say “nigga”?
Hmmm, anyway Tommy also points he has no family and he damn sure doesn’t have a girlfriend anymore either. Ghost tries to make him feel better by telling him that he will meet somebody else but Tommy insists it’s going to be absolutely hard replacing Holly.
Before Tommy leaves, Ghost tells him he’s sorry about Holly and Tommy just basically says K to him.

Ghost finally returns back to the hotel from his “jog” and Tasha is waiting to make his life absolutely miserable.
Tasha breaks down how she had to deal with Angela being so in love with Ghost by answering text messages from her all day. Ghost takes his phone back from Tasha and goes over the messages and he is impressed that she sounded just like him.
Tasha tells him well it was easy for her cause it’s basically the same way he used to talk to her.
Things quickly shift as Tasha has some news to report to Ghost from home and it’s not good. Looks like Riq tried to runaway while staying with her mom.
Ghost isn’t too pleased to hear the news at all, Tasha rubs it in even more blaming Ghost for her not being there to keep that from happening. Ghost is clearly not trying to get into an argument with Tasha at all over the matters saying Tariq is just having problems adjusting to the new situation and he will eventually get over it.
Ghost then realizes that in order to keep Angela’s suspicions low he has to call her like he usually does.
What makes this even worse is the fact he has to call Angela in front of Tasha and she has to listen to all of it. Her face during Ghost and Angela’s phone conversation is absolutely priceless.
Once the phone call is over Tasha gives Ghost a round of applause for his act.Tasha is impressed with Ghost ability to lie to the ones he loves, Ghost tells Tasha he’s doing what has to be done out of necessity and that it’s all part of the plan.
Tasha is tired of that same old excuse from him and pulls out the separation papers on him.
Tasha doesn’t understand why Ghost is going the whole separation route and basically tells Ghost this if he leaves:
She asks Ghost if he’s ready to give half of everything? Cause she will gladly take it all. Ghost responds by saying the money is for the kids as well and that he would never back out of their deal. Tasha tells Ghost that killing Lobos is definitely not going to make his dirt go away and asks if Angela finds out what he did that she will cover for him?
Ghost always the slick one tells her the only way Angela will find out is if she opens her mouth and tells her. He knows she won’t do that because Tasha is an accomplice in the whole crime.
Tasha realizes she has lost this battle reveals to Ghost that she already signed the papers for him cause she is just is sick and tired of his mess.
She retires to bed, Ghost tries to jump in the bed but Tasha shuts that down quickly, she also tells Ghost that she wants a separate car for the ride back home. Ghost is not too happy about that, he grabs a blanket and pillow and takes himself to the couch.
Now poor Tommy on the other hand… It’s going to be a while before he gets over Holly.
In a touching scene he returns to where they dumped her body and leaves the ring he gave her. Oh man it’s going to be intense when he finds out she was pregnant.
Back at the Hotel Ghost and Tasha put on their cordial act for the big meeting with Karen and her father.
Ghost introduces Tasha to Karen and her dad but she won’t be staying for the meeting telling Karen and her dad that she has return home to the kids. We all know why she’s really leaving.
Before she leaves Ghost puts on the loving husband act with Tasha and kisses her on the cheek and tells her goodbye. Before she leaves Tasha tells him goodbye Ghost. The look on Ghost’s face though:
PRICELESS!
Annoyed at first Ghost turns his frustration into a warm smile before returning back to the table with Karen and her dad.
Ole boy Greg is still venting about the whole Lobos situation and has his suspicions as to who is the mole.
It should come as no surprise to no one that he believes Angela was the one behind all of it. Saxe isn’t buying it though telling Greg how concerned Angela was looking while everything was going down. Saxe’s mind is always in the gutter from some reason and he suggests that Greg should use the fact he got shot as a purple heart to get back into Angela’s pants.
With one loose end tied up, Ghost heads back to the club to take care of another one. It’s time to get rid of Dean!
Ghost calls Dean into his office to tell him his services are no longer needed. Dean questions the move since he saved both Ghost and Riq and wonders why Ghost doesn’t want to keep him “close” anymore?
Ghost laughs off the notion and tells him he doesn’t have to explain himself to Dean in the first place. There’s a bit of silence, then Dean says to Ghost you finally killed Lobos. Ghost was like:
Dean starts speaking in Serbian and tells his man to guard the door. The guard says in Serbian that Ghost has a gun in the safe. The guard then goes to the safe inputs the code and takes out the gun. Ghost looks at the guard like:
Ghost is completely confused as to what in the hell is going on in his office. Dean starts talking and the accent starts getting stronger. Dean then spits out James St.Patrick’s alias as well as all of his business and then pulls out the la loteria card he left for Ghost as a message and puts in his pocket.
Ghost finally figures out that Dean is Serbian and that everything going on has to do with Vlad and his crew. Dean tells Ghost he is interested in the shipment that he and Tommy intercepted and left for the cops to seize. Dean tells Ghost to have a seat and it’s at that exact moment Ghost realizes that Dean is the infamous Milan that Vlad was telling them about.
All that time Milan was right under his nose working for him SMH. He was so concerned about Lobos he let Milan slip right in.
Ghost realizes that Milan could have easily took out both him and Tommy but kept them alive for a reason. Instead of killing them Milan tells Ghost that both he and Tommy will be working for him to repay him for his lost product. Ghost can’t refuse because he knows how ruthless Milan is and what he is capable of. So much for being free and out of the game looks like Ghost is right back in the thick of things once again.
Ghost runs to Tommy to deliver the bad news that they have a new boss.
Tommy isn’t too happy to hear the news about Milan and is disappointed in Ghost for letting it happen. Tommy tells Ghost he’s not mentally ready to work for another “sicko” and Ghost says that’s exactly why they need to kill Milan. Tommy doesn’t immediately jump on-board with that idea being that they don’t really know the extent of Milan’s reach and the size of his crew.
Ghost tells Tommy they are fortunate to be alive only because Milan wants his shipment back. Tommy then asks if Ghost is going to get back into the game? Ghost tells him he has no choice. Tommy brings up the fact that Ghost now lives with a fed and that he has to lie to her every night and the only reason she took him back was because he got out of the game in the first place. Tommy makes it clear that if Angela catches him selling drugs she will turn him in.
Tommy then points out that Ghost has one big glaring weakness and that’s Angela. Angela is his soft spot and the one thing Milan will use against Ghost to keep him in check. Tommy admits he still doesn’t care for Angela but says even she doesn’t deserve the kind of torture Milan would put her through if he got his hands on her.
Ghost has to make a decision about Angela now in order to keep her safe. He heads home to do something he really doesn’t want to do.
When he finally arrives home Angela is waiting for him!
She clearly had a rough day with the whole Lobos situation and tells Ghost hearing the whole jet-setting across the world idea would make them both feel better. Ghost is clearly not there mentally and tells her that idea is not going to happen.
Angela asks if something went wrong with his meeting with Karen? Ghost replies that there is something wrong, been wrong and that he was too out of it to see it. He brings up the fact that Tariq ran away and that he wasn’t there and that some point his kids have to be what’s most important.
Angela tells Ghost she never asked him to choose her over the kids and wants to know what exactly is he saying? He tells her that she knows exactly what he means, Angela gets defensive and brings up the separation papers. Ghost then tells her that was a big mistake on his part.
Angela has no idea Ghost is just making up this argument to keep her safe, she tries her best to change his mind. Ghost is just all over the place with this argument and Angela can’t make sense of it. He’s trying to convince her that her fantasy of them being together back when she was 15-years-old just isn’t going to happen.Angela tells him that she trusts her feelings and how she feels about him and that everything she has done for him she did for them and she would do it all over again.
Angie’s argument isn’t working at all and Ghost tells her that it’s just not meant to be.Before Ghost walks out the door on her and the relationship she asks him to tell her the truth cause she feels something is not right.
Ghost tells her the truth is they just can’t be together and his decision to leave is the right decision. I know a lot of folks are team Tasha but wow that had to hurt and I definitely felt for her.
Angela immediately falls to floor shedding tears as the man she fought for and put her career on the line for left her for no apparent reason as far as she knows.
On the other side of the door we get to see a side of Ghost we never seen before.
Ghost is broken and for a split second looked to almost change his mind hearing his love Angela cry on the other side of the door. Ghost can’t fight back the tears and lets them flow, but he knows in order to keep Angela safe this is the right decision he has to make. He composes himself and turns Ghost mode back on and walks away from the door and Angela.
That scene definitely had me in my feelings like:
