xcuse the absence last week FLY gals and gents, but Beanz is back with your with your weekly Power recap. Everyone’s head is on a swivel now, trust is an at all time low and our emotions just watching this show are all over the place. Let’s get into episode 308 which is conveniently titled “Trust Me”.
The episode opens up with Tommy who has survived the severe ass whooping he received at the hands of Milan’s men. He is awaken by his unlikely savior and his pet hovering over his badly bruised body.
Tommy initially thinks that Milan wants to use him for ransom but the Serbian drug lord has different intentions for him. Instead of being his usual scary self Milan is weirdly nice to Tommy and tells him that Tommy is not being held against his will. He tells him that he will have him stitched up and that they have some business to discuss.
Ohhhh Milan is up to something!
Mike on the other hand is a nervous wreck and rightfully so. Now that Lobos is dead he is getting the heat thrown on him by both Hugo and the Feds.
Hugo immediately asks Mike where is Lobos but Mike insists he doesn’t know. The exchange in both English and Spanish gets heated after Mike asks for the phone used by Hugo to contact him. Mike wants to destroy it so nothing can lead back to him. The request triggers Hugo to press Mike and request some money and a plane ticket so he can get the hell out of dodge.
Mike tells Hugo he can’t help him, doing so will ensure they get caught by the feds. Hugo is not trying to hear it and dangles Mike’s ex-wife and daughter over his head telling him he knows their location thanks to Lobos and he will kill them if Mike doesn’t help him. No money and plane ticket = no phone and the death of his loved ones!
Poor Mike has a real huge dilemma on his hands.
We catch back up with Tommy who literally has the blues after surviving his encounter with Milan’s men. His moment of solitude is interrupted by Ghost who has been trying to find him. Ghost immediately notices the bruises on Tommy’s face.
Tommy tells Ghost that his bruises are the outcome of him letting Father Callahan live to see another day against the wishes of Milan. Ghost tells him that Milan came by the crib and threatened the kids and that the feds found Lobos’ body.
Well yeah Ghost that was kind of dumb of leaving Lobos’ body to let the “vultures have at him“.
Ghost tells Tommy the feds know that whoever killed Lobos had inside information and that they think Angela is the leak. Ghost wants Tommy to hit up Hugo and meet with him so he can tell them who is Lobos’ inside guy working for the Feds. Tommy immediately realizes that move will also help Angela and he was like:
Tommy hates Angela with every ounce of his white soul and doesn’t mind seeing her in an orange jumpsuit or dead for that matter. Ghost tells him that if she goes down, they all go down and that they are all connected. Tommy was like:
Tommy realizes he has no choice but to call Hugo and set up the meeting.
Speaking of Angela, looks like she is also making sure all the alibis checkout cause she knows her ass is on the line.
Angela receives surveillance footage from Karen’s hotel in hopes that Ghost will show up in it making his alibi stick. Her worries are put to bed when a stretching Ghost can be seen on the camera footage but we all know he didn’t go for no damn jog that day.
It’s a good thing Ghost’s alibi so far is looking good cause Saxe and Greg are still trying to get Ruiz to snitch on him.
Fortunately for Ghost, Ruiz is not here for Saxe and Greg at all being that they failed to keep Lobos safe. Ruiz tells them they won’t be getting any more information out of him. Looks like they gotta look somewhere else cause the Ruiz ship has sailed on them. Basically this was Ruiz to Saxe and Greg:
Well with Ruiz being the least of his worries for now there is still the issue of Milan. Ghost bumps into Dre at Truth and speaks to him about his new nemesis.
Dre the firecracker that he is wants to know what Ghost’s move is gonna be after he finds out that Milan showed up Ghost’s crib last episode. Ghost tells Dre that right now there won’t be any moves made till he gets more information on Milan.
He also lets Dre know till further notice that they will only talk club business at Truth since there are ears and eyes on them at all times in there. That’s not where the bad news ends though for Ghost, Dre informs his boss that his competition across the street got the drop on him again and scooped the deal from Karen. Ghost was like:
Ghost leaves but unbeknownst to Ghost, Dre is reporting his every move to his nemesis Kanan.
Dre informs Kanan that Milan has Ghost spooked, information that Kanan exactly needed to hear about him.On his way out Ghost makes a very keen observation. He notices a particular brand of cigarettes that one of Milan’s henchman is smoking and steals the pack.
This might be the break that Ghost desperately needs to help him rid himself of Milan.
Tommy meets up with Hugo who is now on the edge, the meeting immediately gets off on the wrong foot with Hugo drawing his gun on Tommy.
Hugo believes that Tommy double crossed them when it came to freeing his now dead boss Lobos. Poor Hugo doesn’t realize that tables will be quickly turning on him.
Ghost magically appears and puts all the pressure on Hugo.
Ghost tells Hugo to give up his inside contact so they can get revenge on him and help their cause in the process. Hugo has no idea that Lobos is dead and threatens the dynamic drug dealing duo that when Lobos finds out about them they will be in trouble.
His threats go even further when he starts talking about Bell and Holly and that instantly triggers the crazy that lays dormant inside Tommy.
Tommy flips on Hugo and fills him with bullets, he kills whatever chance they had at the moment to find out who was the inside contact. Ghost of course is not too pleased with Tommy’s course of action and basically reacts like:
Ghost tells Tommy he has to control himself but Tommy feels he is in total control (he clearly isn’t). Tommy is back on f*** Angela mode and tells Ghost to tell his b**** to not talk and leaves.
Good thing Ghost is the smart one out the bunch and checks Hugo’s corpse for anything that can help their cause and he finds the cell phone he used to talk to Mike.
Back at the federal office Saxe, Greg and Angela are trying to figure out what moves MJ is trying to make in the investigation against them.
Suspicion is running high in the office and finger-pointing is rampant. Their meeting is interrupted by Donovan, he informs them that hit on Lobos was definitely premeditated. Donovan spills all the details pointing out that there was one set of bullets in Lobos and two different sets of footprints.
Greg was like:
That’s all he needed to hear cause we all know who he thinks is behind all of it.
MJ takes her detective skills to Truth to press Ghost and squeeze whatever she can out him on Angela and get him to snitch on her.
Unfortunately for MJ, Ghost is no snitch and plays dumb very well. He refutes all of MJ’s claims of him using Angela to get information out of Angela to commit capital murder. MJ even goes as far to throw in the fact that Ghost paid Angela’s rent to soften her up.
When she asks the million dollar question about Felipe Lobos, Ghost responds by asking “Who is Felipe Lobos?”
Greg is still on the case and meets up Medina.
Greg presents all the new findings to Medina and the fact that one of the hitters had a New York accent and wasn’t speaking Spanish. When Greg tells Medina that he thinks it was Tommy Egan he immediately reacts like:
Medina heard enough and on top of everything was not too happy to find out at the time that Greg was suspended during the time he was helping him. He tells Greg to kick rocks and come back when he has some actual facts he can work it and not insubstantial evidence.
Looks like Lobos isn’t the only one with friends in very high places. Ghost meets up with his contact in vice to explore his cigarette lead.
Ghost asks Donato for addresses and locations of warehouses where they would store the illegal cigs. In return Ghost will hook him up with a huge career changing bust. Donato can’t turn down that opportunity tells Ghost he can’t give him addresses or a warehouse but he can give him bars where they sell them out of.
He tells Ghost that he’s going to have to do all the “leg work” and find out on his own the information he needs by going to the bars and getting cozy with patrons and owners. Unfortunately for Ghost that’s going to require him hitting the booze heavy again to get folks talking.
Back on the Angela front, she heads to Tasha’s apartment to have a conversation with her.
Tasha isn’t too happy to see her husband’s side chick in her lobby once again. She asks Angela if she has a job and she quickly replies saying she puts murdering drug dealers in jail and asking Tasha what does she do?
Angela’s purpose for her visit is to check up on alibis, she points out that Ghost’s alibi will hold up but wonders about Tommy’s. Tasha initially refuses to answer the question, Angela decides she has had enough and starts to make her exit. It’s there Tasha realizes she has to say something and says that Tommy was with his mother Kate in Long Island.
Angela leaves, Tasha quickly picks up her phone and tells Tommy that they have a problem.
Tommy receives the message and is in the process of getting a look at the warehouse that houses Milan’s product.
Tommy is blown away by what he sees what Milan is working with, he also learns that Milan is in the pill business. Milan’s goon explains how they plan to move all of that product. Tommy hears the plan and is not impressed at all, he gives them a much better plan.
Tommy just basically proved he’s worth keeping around just a tad bit longer to Milan as his knowledge proves quite useful. We shall see how long Milan will want to keep the heartbroken distro around though.
Dre is enjoying the perks of working with Ghost, he gets to pick up his kid school and hang out with him at basketball city.
Kanan hits up Dre before Riq comes out telling him he want’s to talk business. Dre tells his secret boss that now is not the time to talk. Now you know, you never tell Kanan that period.
Angela is still on the mission to make sure her ass is covered and that all alibis are straight. She heads to talk to Kate and listen to her to story about Tommy.
Kate explains to Angela that her and Tommy have a “unique” relationship and yeah their mother/son relationship is type weird. Kate tells Angela that Tommy was at the house, he didn’t go anywhere that day and was watching Maury, Povich, Judge Judy and that Tommy really loves Dr.Phil.
Angela keeps the questions coming and asks what did they have to eat and Kate tells her they had pizza. When Angela asks Kate from where, she tells her Tommy picked up the pizza. Angela grows suspicious of the answer and asks Kate that she thought Tommy didn’t go anywhere?
Kate is beginning to look quite silly until Tommy walks in right on time to save his mother from making a complete fool out of herself.
Tommy tells Angela that he was only gone about 20 minutes and Kate cements it by saying it was a short time. He then tells Angela have a seat, looks like they have a lot to talk about.

Dre and Riq are enjoying some quality time together shooting hoops together at basketball city. The good vibes quickly exit and things become quite uneasy when Kanan comes walking in.
Dre wonders if Kanan has GPS on him due to his surprise visit, Kanan tells him he had “business” on the other side of town and stopped by to see if they were still there. Kanan introduces himself as Slim to young Riq and quickly strikes up a conversation asking the young St.Patrick where he learned to ball.
Riq reveals to Kanan that he learned to hoop from his friend Shawn, Riq has no idea that he is talking to Shawn’s dad and killer. Kanan tells Riq that he knew Shawn and asks him he mind if he joined Riq and shot a few. Riq agrees, boy this young man has no idea who he is messing with right now.
Angela and Tommy are having a much-needed conversation back at Kate’s house.
Angela tells Tommy that she knows that him and Ghost have something to do with Lobos. She suggests that Tommy and Kate work on their alibis cause if they don’t they can all be in big trouble. Angela makes the mistake of mentioning the trigger word Holly to Tommy. At least this time he didn’t empty a clip in response.Angela points out that if Holly was still around his alibi would be air tight and that she would have held him down being that she wouldn’t have cracked under the pressure.
Too bad she has no idea Tommy went nuts on Holly and choked the life out of her so that option is out of the window.
He points out to Angela that she may not be the inside guy but she damn sure told Ghost something.Tommy of course is enjoying seeing Angela under pressure and knows she is scared out of her mind at the situation and tells her it was dumb for to come to Kate’s house. He suggests to her that she stays cool cause if she don’t both her and Ghost will be rocking orange jumpsuits.
Back at basketball city Kanan is getting some important info out of Ghost’s son Riq.
Riq is curious as to how Kanan is so good and able to shoot with the glove on and why he has it on anyway? Kanan doesn’t answer the question he looks at Dre and sends him off to fetch him and Riq something to drink. Dre looked at Kanan like:
While Dre is gone, Kanan asks Riq what time does he get out of school? Riq tells him like three. Has this kid ever heard of the term don’t ever talk to strangers?
Before Kanan can get anymore info out of Riq, Dre returns and tells Riq that they really have to go. Kanan’s notices Riq’s bag and sees his school name on it. Looks like Kanan got all the info he needs now.
Back at Truth, Milan tells Ghost it’s time to set up a meeting with all of the “primeras” and take things to the next level.
Ghost of course has no choice but to do what Milan suggests and tells him he will set it up when he can. Ghost is shocked to find out that the meeting has already been set up when he sees all of the primeras downstairs in the club.
A stunned Ghost walks downstairs and asks Tommy why didn’t he tell him about the meeting. Tommy tells him he couldn’t cause he was being tailed all day. Before the meeting starts Ruiz makes his way back into the fold and quickly makes his old subordinate realize who is back in charge.
Tommy kicks the meeting off telling the crew that not only will they be selling dope but they will also slinging Milan’s pills oh and not to mention they will be paying for it upfront. They all scoff at the idea especially Ruiz who points out he only sells DOPE not pills to soccer moms. Jae Shin also is not here for the pills, he also brings up the fact he believes that Tommy has something to do with the death of his son.
That would prove to be costly for the Korean drug lord and those would be the last words out of his mouth.
With a nod of his head Milan signals for Jae Shin to be taken out. Honestly I don’t feel bad for Jae at all I mean he did call us the N word. GOOD RIDDANCE!
The removal of Jae Shin gets everyone back in line and the meeting back on track as Tommy tells the room he’s going to teach them how to get the pills on the streets.
After the meeting is up, Ghost is clearly shook at what just took place and him and Tommy have a conversation inside his car about the meeting.
Tasha and LaKeisha are in the money now because of their new joint venture. The mood will quickly change when Tasha gets a surprise visit.
Milan stops to talk about what Tasha does at the salon. He tells her that she doesn’t need to worry about Keisha’s safety because she doesn’t know who Milan is. Tasha tells her it will stay that way because she doesn’t need to know . Milan knows that business is a front to help wash Tommy’s drug money, what the two don’t know is that Keisha is listening in on the conversation. The real reason behind his visit was to tell Tasha to tell her husband to ditch whatever plan he has against him.
After Milan leaves Keisha immediately calls Tasha out on her bull you know what.
Keisha is not too happy that her bestie lied to her and turned her business into a drug front. Tasha insists she was never supposed to know keeping her safe and they have to keep up the front to stay safe. Keisha doesn’t want to hear it and leaves telling Tasha to lock up behind her.
Angela meets up with Greg to make amends and argues her case to him that she is not the leak.
Angela pleads to Greg that she wouldn’t do anything to endanger her coworkers but Greg isn’t buying it. He tells her that she needs to provide some sort of proof to convince him that she is not that leak.
The two have no idea that they are being watched though.
Across the street Ghost is spying on the whole meeting and he sees everything even the intimate touch between the two.
Mike was able to round-up the cash and the plane ticket for Hugo and is waiting to link up with him.
He has no idea that Hugo has been rubbed out by Tommy pretty much canceling out the idea Hugo killing his ex-wife and daughter. Mike’s only problem now is the feds discovering he was working with Lobos all this time.
Speaking of the feds MJ is back and she pays Angela a visit to tell her about her visit to Truth and her conversation with Ghost.
MJ pulls out the big guns trying to get Angela to crack. She brings up the fact she knows that Angela and Ghost slept with each other and that Angela could get Ghost to flip because she knows that she is his weakness. She suggests that Angela wear a wire and get to him to talk on it that way Angela can wipe her hands clean of the matter. Angela of course sticks to her guns and for the time being shuts down the idea of that happening.
Ghost on the other hand is feeling the effects of his investigative work into finding out the source of those cigarettes.
Tasha discovers Ghost passed out on the couch drunk and she is worried. Ghost ensures her that there is no need to worry and that it’s all a part of his plan but he needs more information on Milan before he makes a move. Tasha thinks possibly that no move on Milan would be a good move and would keep them safe but Ghost disagrees. Ghost leaves, Tasha picks up the phone and calls Tommy and leaves a message telling him that Ghost is plotting against Milan and that he’s drinking again.
Tommy is busy chatting with Milan about the meeting and how did Ghost receive it.
Tommy tells Milan that Ghost wasn’t too happy about it but he eventually came around. Milan is one smooth talker as he does a really good job at planting the seed of deceit into Tommy trying to make him second guess his brother Ghost again. Milan wants to drive a wedge between the two and he wants Tommy to handle the dirty work of eventually rendering Ghost useless and probably eventually removing him from the equation.
Milan paints the an eloquent picture to Tommy by painting Ghost as untrustworthy and only looking out for himself and not worrying about Tommy.

Ghost meets up with Ruiz to make him an offer he can’t possibly refuse.
Ghost sets the meeting up to get Ruiz “in line” as per request by Tommy. Ruiz is not a fan of the Serbs and wants to know why Ghost sent him away. Ghost points out to Ruiz that he knows that Ruiz has been talking to the feds, Ruiz immediately knows that it was Angela.
Ghost suggests to Ruiz that he goes back to the feds and give them an even bigger fish…Milan. Ruiz of course objects to the idea but Ghost makes a great pitch to Ruiz. Ghost tells him with Milan out of the way he will bow out of the game again. That will make Ruiz the new distro and he can get a new connect. Ruiz was basically like:
Looks like Riq is gonna have a new friend to replace Shawn and unfortunately its Kanan.
Kanan shows up at Riq’s school to meet him. He asks Riq if he wants to go get something to eat, Riq is reluctant at first and tells him he has to wait for Dre. Kanan of course questions the young teen’s manhood and he is not with that, Riq gets in the car. He then offers Riq some Texas tea (lean), Riq is also reluctant about that but you know that peer pressure is a bitch and he eventually takes a sip. SMH what in the hell is wrong with this kid Riq?
Ghost gets a break, Donato tells him that the cigarettes are all linked to one bread company. He thanks Donato for the tip and tells him he will help him get promoted when he gets him the info for the bust. Tommy rolls up as the two meet up to have a conversation.
Ghost tells Tommy that he checked Ruiz for him, Tommy immediately asks Ghost if he has a plan to get out from underneath Milan? Ghost tells him nope that he has no plan, but that’s not what Tommy wanted to hear as he already knows from Tasha that Ghost is up to something.
Meanwhile this bad ass kid Riq is being taken down memory lane rolling through his dad’s old neighborhood with Kanan.
Kanan tells Riq that his dad used to be a big time drug pusher in the hood and that he moved a lot of weight and that he was one of the baddest mofos in town. Of course Riq isn’t buying cause he is currently not a fan of his dad at the moment. Kanan then offers to show Riq some proof, proving that he was.
Tasha makes a last ditch effort to save her friendship with Keisha and explain herself in the process.
Tasha delivers a bag to Keisha with almost 500K in cash in it. Tasha wants her to take the money look the other way and help her prove to Milan that she can be trusted. Keisha reluctantly takes the bag and Tasha offers her an apology for everything. Keisha takes the bag full of cash and goes to the back.
When she walks away someone else enters the store.
It’s Tommy and it looks like he is not there to talk at all.
Angela gets a surprise visit from her ex-boyfriend Ghost at was supposed to be just a pick up of some evidence.
Ghost immediately asks her whats going on between her and Greg and Angela was like nope you will not be asking me that question. She points out that they are no longer friends or lovers and that they are just two people working together to stay out of jail.
Ghost then gives her the phone he took off Hugo, Angela asks if she can talk to Hugo and what is his location? Ghost tells Angela that he can’t tell her that or how he acquired the phone. Angela then asks Ghost where was he the day Lobos was killed? Ghost tells her at Karen’s hotel and that Tasha can could vouch for that. Angela then asks if they slept together and Ghost tells her no which is the complete opposite of what Tasha told her. She kicks Ghost out of the car, once he’s gone she removes the hidden wire she was wearing SMH.
We catch back up with Riq and his stroll down memory lane with Kanan. They are back at the apartment Kanan took over from the old lady he killed.
Kanan tells Riq about the history of the apartment, Riq doesn’t know that Kanan has a gun to the back of his head. Kanan is about to pull the trigger on Riq but pauses when Riq reveals he can’t stand his father.
Kanan joins Riq on the couch and listens to young teenager complain about his dad. He asks him if he wants to get back at his dad but Riq doesn’t know if he can after hearing all the things about him that Kanan told him. Riq questions if he can trust his dad, Kanan puts a hand on his shoulder and reassures Riq that he can trust him.
Ghost takes the new information he received from Donato and hits one of the bars pushing those illegal cigarettes.
He asks for a pack of the illegal cigarettes, as soon as he does a man walks in a package for the owner of the bar.
Angela stops by Greg’s apartment to present him with some new evidence.
She reveals to Greg that she has been investigating Ghost too. She shows Greg the surveillance footage that puts Ghost at the hotel at the time of the transfer. She then shows Greg the video of Ghost walking in the hotel with Tasha.
Angela pulls the sorrow card on Greg and even gives him the right to say I told you so being that Ghost went right back to his wife. Greg feels sorry for Angela and the two even share a kiss.
Angela is still hurt by everything and Greg consoles her.
Meanwhile at the bar, a drunk Ghost is pouring out his soul to the bar owner about the Angela. He confesses that he still loves her, the owner tells Ghost that he’s sorry but he has to close up shop.
We go back to Greg’s apartment and we are treated to something we haven’t seen in a long time.
If you guessed a sex scene with Angela and Greg congratulations! The two look like they are back on good terms again.
Ghost is still out investigating and goes to one of bread warehouses. While watching the warehouse a familiar face rolls up.
He spots Tommy, and just to make sure he calls Tommy’s phone to make sure what he’s seeing is in fact Tommy. Tommy takes out his phone as the phone rings but doesn’t answer it. Ghost is absolutely appalled at to what to just happened.
Back at Greg’s the smash session is over, but it looks like it hasn’t really repaired the trust between the both of them.
Greg sends a text to Medina expressing that he feels Angela is still working with Ghost and he thinks they can get the both of them still. SMH
OH WE CAN’T WAIT TILL NEXT WEEK!
