Yanks to Retire Derek Jeter’s No. 2 On May 14
The New York Yankees have announced that they are going to retire shortstop Derek Jeter’s No. 2 jersey.
The Yankees have said that Jeter’s jersey number is the last of their single digits jerseys to retire… and along with Jeter’s jersey, the Yankee have already retired twenty-one team jerseys.
Here is the list of previously retired Yankees retired jerseys:

Jeter’s jersey is scheduled to be retired when they play the Houston Astros in New York onĀ May 14th, and during the game they’re going to also honor him with a plaque that will unveiled too.
During his career, Derek Jeter set Yankee records for hits, games 2,747, at-bats 11,195, doubles 544 and stolen bases 358.
