Last night, A24 and FX took home Golden Globes for the critically acclaimed film Moonlight and the hit new comedy series “Atlanta,” respectively.
“As someone who went 8 years without making a piece, I gotta give love to A24,” said Moonlight director Barry Jenkins during his acceptance speech. To my mom… you gave me my life and I hope this film is a fulfillment of the life that you gave me. [And] To everybody on Twitter, Instagram, and everybody back home in Miami and New Orleans if you have seen this film, and told a friend all I ever ask is that you tell a friend, tell a friend and tell a friend.”
Fans can follow the evolution of the film’s success on the site thisisthestoryofalifetime.com. Moonlight is in theaters everywhere.
Last month, Donald Glover picked up a “Best Actor in a Comedy Series” award for “Atlanta” at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Season one of “Atlanta” is available for viewing online.
